What is the most important thing you gained from this experience? Why?
The most important thing I have learned from this is experience is to have patients, how much dedication you must have to be a preschool teacher, and how to effectively communicate with kids. This is important because knowing this when

I step into this field after college I will advantage over others that want to be in the field.

How has what you’ve done helped you to answer your EQ?  Please explain.

What I have done has helped me answer my E.Q because in the start of my senior project   I did not know an answer to my E.Q, after mentoring in both places I can say I have an answer to my E.Q and have more knowledge than I did in the beginning.

Blog 24 Exit Interview Questions

Exit Interview Questions

  1. What is your essential question? What is the best answer to your question and why? My essential question is How can a Preschool program best help a child prepare for Kindergarten? The best answer to my question is communication, this is my best answer because you have to stay in constant communication with the student, the family and Kindergarten teacher since the Kindergarten teacher notifies the preschool teacher on what the child should know when entering Kindergarten.
  2. What process did you take to arrive at this answer? I arrived at this answer with the help of mentor Mrs. Caroline when doing my third interview.
  3. What problems did you face? How did you resolve them? The problems I faced was finding things to do for my IC#2 my original plan was to go and take a class at Mt. Sac or P.C.C but due to my grade point average I was not allowed to. To solve this problem I started doing mentorship again but with a new preschool.
  4. What are the two most significant sources you used to answer you essential question and why? The two most significant sources I have would be my mentorship at both places and the HighScope Perry Project, these are my most significant sources because with mentorship I had the opportunity to do hands on learning and teach a preschool class. For the article it really gave me insight to how you can help at risk youth and change their life completely just by enrolling them in preschool.
  5. What is your product and why? My product is a skills I l acquired which is how to better communicate with children, this is my product because before this experience when dealing with children I was not the best of communicators, you can not talk to a child like their an adult  you have to use short concise words. After learning this I tried it at my mentorship it worked and at the same time opened up a two way street for communication between the child and I.
